UNDERSTANDING KAMBO

If you’re considering Kambo, it’s natural to have questions.

I’ve put together answers to the questions I hear most often. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, you’re always welcome to get in touch.

Why do cells matter?

Every function in your body begins with your cells. Your immune system, nervous system, digestive system, cardiovascular system, hormones, muscles, brain, skin, and organs all rely on healthy cellular communication. When your cells communicate well, your body is better able to regulate and adapt.

If my body already produces peptides, why would I need more?

Your body naturally produces thousands of peptides throughout your life. As we age, and as we’re exposed to chronic stress, illness, poor sleep, and environmental toxins, communication between our cells can become less efficient.

Kambo provides a naturally occurring collection of bioactive peptides that participate in those communication pathways.

Why are peptides called signaling molecules?

Peptides carry messages between cells. Those messages help coordinate communication throughout your immune system, nervous system, digestive system, cardiovascular system, hormones, metabolism, muscles, skin, and brain.

What do peptides actually do?

Peptides help your cells communicate. Every second of every day, your body relies on that communication to regulate, adapt, and maintain balance.

Why is Kambo considered more than a detox?

Detoxification and flush is part of a Kambo session, but it’s only one expression of what’s taking place.

Kambo contains a naturally occurring collection of bioactive peptides, which is why I believe it’s important to understand Kambo beyond the purge. The peptides are the point.

What does homeostasis mean?

Homeostasis is your body’s ability to maintain balance. It’s constantly making small adjustments to keep your internal systems functioning as efficiently as possible.

How is Kambo different from laboratory peptides?

Laboratory peptides are designed to target specific receptors or biological pathways.

Kambo contains a naturally occurring collection of peptides that communicate across multiple systems throughout the body during the same session. They each have their place. My goal isn’t to compare them, but to help people understand what Kambo is.

THE EXPERIENCE

What does Kambo feel like?

Everyone’s experience is different. Many people are surprised by how manageable a session feels. Rather than rushing, I facilitate gradually and pay close attention to how your body responds throughout the experience. Some describe it as a cosmic hug or similar sensations to niacin or NAD +.

How long does a Kambo session take?

Plan on setting aside about 1½ to 2 hours.

Every session is different because every body responds differently. There’s no fixed timeline because I allow the session to unfold at the pace your body requires.

Does everyone purge?

No.

Not everyone vomits, and not everyone has the same physiological response. Purging is one possible response, but it isn’t how I measure the value of a session. The purge a feel cathartic emotionally or spiritually but the shifts and changes are happening on the inside at a cellular level. As well as a die off process, such as inflammation, bad bacteria and lingering viruses.

Does vomiting mean it worked better?

No.

Whether someone vomits or not isn’t how I evaluate a session. I’m paying attention to how your body is responding throughout the experience, not how much ends up in the bucket.

Why do you facilitate slowly?

Every body responds differently. By slowing the session down, I can observe how your body is responding and make decisions throughout the session instead of following a fixed protocol. Going slowly allows for a more manageable experience as well as more Kambo.

Why does facilitation matter?

The medicine is only one part of the experience.

How it’s facilitated shapes the experience. Rather than applying the same approach to everyone, I adjust each session according to the person in front of me.

Why don’t you use one protocol for everyone?

No two people arrive with the same health history, nervous system, or level of resilience. I believe your session should reflect your body, not a standard protocol.

What happens after a session?

Many people continue with the rest of their day after a session. Others prefer to go home and rest or take a nap, while some head straight to the gym.

There’s no right or wrong. Listen to your body and give it what it needs.

SAFETY

Can I receive Kambo while taking peptides?

Most are complimentary. Except for GLP-1’s and neural peptides.

We’ll review everything during your health screening before deciding whether Kambo is appropriate for you.

Can I receive Kambo while taking medication?

That depends on the medication.

Some medications require additional discussion, while others may mean Kambo isn’t appropriate. Every health screening is reviewed personally before booking.

BOOKING

Why do you recommend three sessions?

While many people notice  changes after one session, I find that a series allows each session to build on the one before it. Tree sessions is considered a significant rest.

How far apart should sessions be?

When possible, I like to schedule sessions close together so each session builds on the last. Three consecutive days works well, although we can always adjust the schedule to suit your circumstances.

How much does it cost?

A single session is $250 USD.

A three-session series is $500 USD.
