PREPARATIONS FOR KAMBO
Preparation is the beginning of the process.
What you bring to a session — physically, mentally, and emotionally — shapes what becomes possible within it. These guidelines are designed to reduce unnecessary physiological stress and support your body in being as open and ready as possible.
SETTING AN INTENTION
It can be helpful to arrive with a gentle sense of intention — something you are moving toward, releasing, or seeking clarity on.
Hold it lightly.
Kambo is an intelligent medicine. It works on what the body actually needs, not always what the mind thinks it wants. The deeper the process goes, the more layered the experience becomes — working first through the physical body, then the emotional, then the spiritual. Trust the process to know where it needs to go.
WHAT TO WEAR
Comfortable, loose clothing. Something you feel relaxed in. You will be sitting or lying down throughout the session.
SEVEN DAYS BEFORE
• No coming off of Iboga or Ibogaine within this period
THREE DAYS BEFORE
• Avoid alcohol or recreational substances
• Avoid colonics, enemas, or aggressive detox practices
THE EVENING BEFORE
Rest well. Eat a normal, nourishing dinner at a reasonable hour. Nothing specific required. Simply avoid anything that will tax your system unnecessarily.
DAY OF SESSION
• Arrive six hours fasted
• If your session is scheduled later in the day, a light and simple breakfast is acceptable
• Avoid caffeine
• Avoid citrus
• Hydrate lightly with water or coconut water
• Do not take supplements or medications that morning unless discussed in advance
• Avoid sauna, temezcal, intense heat exposure, or mega sweating.
Arrive as rested and unrushed as possible. Give yourself time to settle before the session begin.
WHAT TO EXPECT – SESSION LENGTH
Sessions typically run between one and two hours depending on pacing and individual response. There is no rush. The session moves at the pace your body requires.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Kambo creates measurable physiological effects and is not appropriate for everyone. All clients complete a screening process prior to booking.
Kambo is not appropriate if you have a history of:
• Cardiovascular conditions including stroke, aneurysm, or heart disease
• Chronically low blood pressure or fainting
• Recent chemotherapy, radiation, or immunotherapy
• Addison’s disease or adrenal insufficiency
• Active psychiatric instability
• Use of medications that significantly affect cardiovascular, neurological, or immune function
If you are unsure whether Kambo is appropriate for you, please reach out before completing the intake form. All conversations are private.
AFTER YOUR SESSION
Most people continue their day as normal following a session — returning to work, meetings, or regular activities without issue. Others prefer to rest, and some find a short nap of twenty minutes or so is all they need before feeling fully themselves again.
Kambo is a detox process. In the days following your session your body is clearing — a natural die-off is occurring. During this time, be kind to what you put back in. Avoid alcohol, recreational substances, and anything that would add unnecessary load to your system for at least a few days.
Rest, hydrate, and nourish yourself with simple, clean food.
Integration continues beyond the session itself. Give yourself space to receive it.
